Plantalgarve Viveiros Agrícolas' Environmental Management Policy is integrated into the company's global strategy, aligning with the Management Policy and the Social Responsibility Policy, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability, quality, people and the community.

The company develops its production of horticultural, aromatic and ornamental plants based on principles of environmental sustainability, ensuring pollution prevention, minimization of environmental impacts and the responsible use of natural resources.

Within the scope of the Management System and good agricultural practices, Plantalgarve is committed to the continuous improvement of its environmental performance, through rigorous management of its processes and compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Its environmental performance is based on the following principles:

• Efficient resource management and pollution prevention, promoting the responsible use of water, energy and materials, reducing waste and adopting efficiency and operational control practices. Proper waste management and economy, ensuring selective separation, correct routing of waste to licensed operators, and reuse or recovery of materials whenever possible, promoting the reduction of environmental impact. Responsible use of products phytopharmaceuticals applying them in a controlled and rigorous manner, in accordance with good agricultural practices, ensuring the reduction of environmental risks and the elimination of waste.

• Protection of natural resources implementing measures to protect water and soil, including the reuse of treated water and optimization of consumption.

• Commitment to continuous improvement and awareness, promoting employee training and engagement, encouraging environmentally responsible practices in all company activities.

• Knowing and complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, assuming responsible behavior in accordance with them.
